When Badorf Shoe Company, Inc. launched the Footmates® brand in 1968, it was the first company-owned private brand. It specializes in leather high-quality infant and toddler shoes made of leather.
Norman and Paul Badorf started Badorf Shoe Company, Inc. in Lititz, Pennsylvania, in 1928. For almost 40 years it was run and owned by the Badorf family.
Ura and Gladys Gingerich bought the company and the old shoe factory on West Lincoln Avenue in 1967. They were Badorf family friends.
It's been 50 years and three generations since Ura and Gladys Gingerich gave birth to Duane Gingerich, their son, and Duane's two sons, Justin and Brandon.
